long time no see

i know that it's been a long time and all, but i do have reasons. not that i have to explain myself but then again, i am busy. gosh, running around means really running around. these past few months have been hectic.

last few weeks for example, a friend of mine arrived in singapore for a visit. and at the same time, my father had fallen ill. i have to say, we were pretty shock cause he's always been the strong one. not until april. took him to the hospital and we were pretty quick or otherwise the result would not been that good.

it caught me by surprise cause i have forgotten everything else i needed to do. i even fell sick. i think it's from all the running around and traveling to the hospital and all that. through that course of ordeal, i have missed my so call graduation, my first class to a new course that i picked up, appointments (thanks to my blackberry for all the reminders!)birthdays, photo-shoot and pitching apts.

i do hope things would get better in the near future and would fall into place. like, it was like a bad dream waking up to the news and hearing car prices have shot up because of the COE hike. jeeeezzzzz, it's not that public transport is cheap either in this island!

anyhoos, i got to make myself better these days to look after my old parents cause i haven't been well. it must be the weather too..... my immune system is breaking down and i know why. it's because i don't get that much time out to run or do my excercise!!!! oh gosh, i really hope things would get better for us and for me too. and hope my exams would be a breeze. i really want this so bad..... so so so badly!!!!

there's something about leaving something behind. be it, your life, your girlfriend, your country, your friends or maybe your hobby. i've become a pro at change. so much so, that i think that i'm a chameleon. able to adapt to whatever environment that i'm in. but sometimes, you just are what you are and it's really ok.

it's been almost a year or at least half a year since my last blog. yes, my aunt passed on and life moves on. people come and people go. some are the ones you loved and some are the ones you spend too much time with in the past. yes, we all make plans and somehow through that course, or the process, somethings screws up and then you stand back and tell yourself, ok, what now?

i think the whole thing is, yes.... we do fall and we do take time to get up or for some, refuse to get up. but we all must learn to continue on from whichever point we stopped.

i've went through many phrases in my life. too many to mention but i did it with all my heart. love for the moment and live it well. yes, the sentimental part of it lingers on, but i feel, if you're done your best. thats all that matters.

we're all in search of something. love, career, wealth, health, perfect partner, nice body and nice car. but we all forget to trust the process.

actually, this might come to an end for this blog forbidden colours. this blog have been through quite alot with me. through with some bad shit and good shit. i will embark on a new journey. where to, i don't know. i trust the process

this month came and going soon after. people in my life come and go to. some went for a long time and then came back, i hope they're back for good. but who am i to say,
cause i can't make them stay if they don't want to. i think you do know that we're all living on borrowed time. time is the essence and time also heals everything that hurt you.
yes, somehow our reason for not making things happen in our life is also time. we have no time to visit, or no time to have dinner with a long lost friend or even a phone call.
funny thing, you'd only realized when it's abit too late.
this month, my family lost our auntie. a very close aunty. so close that she lived few blocks away. she is one women that would feed me. she feeds my family, take me in (in refuge)
i'm glad that we were all there beside her the day before she passed on. but my regret is that, i didn't visit her during my lunch break. she left us that afternoon in her sleep peacefully.

i liked her movies. simple and yet so strong. bilingual and also in all true spirit of malaysian heart! i wanted to know about her and so i googled her and also YOUTUBE'ed her and
found her interviews. she appears to be simple and yet smart. there's something about how she talks. no airs and yet you want to listen to her. i may not know her personally, but
i know, i could have had chemistry with her. she would be missed by many of her friends all over the world, people who worked with her, or even new friends that she could have made
in this life time and of course her family. i'm sure she have made her name in world arena of art house movies. rest in peace. amin!

what a long festive week.... first, we had the christmas which was always fun with the presents and the shopping. then we had the new year eve thing.... it was so fun. in persuit of thinking of what are we going to do for the new year's countdown, we decided to check into the hotel at the airport. crown plaza done by WOHA. actually nothing to shout about despite from the reviews in the newspapers and also various architecture and interior magazine.

but i think, the bottom line was that we were waiting for our friend who would be arriving from tokyo that night. he got in an hour after midnight cause there was some delay in his flight at narita. actually, we could have just gone to a club and spend our time there celebrating with people you have not seen before in your life, but all of us thought that we were pretty much very not into that kindda thing anymore. you say why? i'd say age prob caught up with us. i don't know, but i think i can still boggie and i have this energy bursting inside to shake my bons bons, but damn..... my friends are not into it. i can't say i'll do it like the batt. advertisement bunny on television but at least have a go with it.

anyways, that was that........ fast forward, went to monkey's cafe at orchard towers and i'm shock to know that they're still there! well, in a good way that is. i like that place cause you can see some action going on, if you know what i mean. well, ok... it's pretty much like a red light district area and it's in the heart of town, orchard road. well, not actually red light district, but you can see the dealings and the going ons there.... it's fun just by watching! well, back to monkey's cafe. they still serve the local and western food. nothing to shout about but at least it offers you a variety. and yes, KUMAR(stand up drag comedian)was performing there that night. it was pack and sad to say, you can't be listening to him every weekend cause some of the tricks were played over and over again...... but still, it was a good laff.

actually, this whole post was just to bitch about an encounter with a cab driver. actually i was mad, wait.... extremely mad! but then again, i took a step back and decided to drop off cause its prob. the best for me before i do or say something not nice....... ok... breathe in..... breathe out......

yes, how can i not love that tune from the police! it was just the other nite when albert send us home that we shared this. plug my ipod into his system and played dj in his roving crv. well, i made a stop and let the police play on. yes, their live bootleg version from atlanta 1984.

not to long ago, i had an encounter. an encounter that stunned me and my past. we all have our past and mine was just like yesterday though it was more or less 10 yrs ago. memories are fresh and as though they're preserved in cans that you can get in supermarkets. i knew it was something like that but never got round to believing it till last few weeks ago.

my last month have been a very busy one. i've been spending time and time and more time at work place. tension runs high with the talk going round the office and our lunch break conversartions making us all highly strung now.

i don't know, but i so dig having conversation with friends on friday nights after work or maybe watch a movie or two together and fright the shit out of ourselves. one of those weekends we saw something like 2 movies. not back to back but at night. one of the movies we saw was Quarantine. it's very Blair Witch Project but i guess Misch covered her eyes the whole time of the show while i help myself to the popcorn and ice lemon tea drink.

oh yes, and we found our new dinner place, Botak Jones at Youth Park. gosh, i simply love their steaks cause they even check on your donners! really.... at least there's some kind of quality control measures in the midts of heartlands. so, all the auntie sorts in the heartland, get your donners rite!

last weekend was my marathon........ oh my, that was another episode. really.......

frankly, i don't know where this post is going cause i just have too many things to write about but don't know how to put it here...... maybe i should just stick to writing lyrics for my music and so ppl wont take me too seriously.

this week have been quite a ride. as always, too many things to do and too little time. but nonetheless, i caught up with some friends at the most eclectic and bohemian part of singapore. (arab street)

just a few hours there and i got my juices flowing. kimi the fire dancing girl got me going on with phrases like 'dance, into the fire' and i just got to work with the groove which i haven't go it yet. but, in the making in my head and part of it i had go at the studio was, "We've found heaven". yes, as for now the groove would be a sedative one but got the rhythm going. but i'm always humming the chorus part cause in my head, i should have a few people doing the background vocals.

i just uploaded a set of pictures on my facebook account and for some reason i had titled it, "botak head and more". oh no, i'm too honest. but then again, i really didn't know what else to title it. or i could have called it random shots! anyways, i'm collecting morning papers for a friend of mine who left town for shanghai for the tennis match. i have to say, i miss reading the papers. my source of news have always been from the net.....

anyways, i can't help it but pull of a silly face on this one. the photographer was shocked but the rest knew i would pull of something like that. enjoy your week ahead!

my search to get a book this long weekend did not make it. alot of things to do and so little time. it's like every time i get, i would think about training or run or finish up my studio stuffs. man, i'm so in need of an organizer. maybe i should use my iphone function. i never got round doing those tacky stuff on the phone. maybe i should just stick to using the phone just for calls.

round up my mix for 'going om' last friday, but screwed it up big time. somehow, it took along time to transfer stuff from the mac to the ibm laptop. but the best thing of all was that, it fucks the track that i have carefully mixed just for that night. i was so pissed and so decided not to play at all. but anyways, i brought my live percussion instruments. still, the intoxicated had fun thankfully..... which just tells me that i should just get the macbook pro. how?

i don't know, but then again, i would know how to maximize it.

i'm calling in some guests to play on the record cause i think i sucx at the lead guitars though the one that i recorded of me playing got away with murder. but still, it would be great to jam on these songs.

sometime last week was the cannon photo marathon. i didn't make it cause somehow i need to finish up work in the office. i don't know if i'm glad but i missed it but was told that it was very tiring. i love taking pictures and it makes me happy doing shots and putting things in frames and imagine shots that could be possible. i love that process although at the end of it you'd feel so drained out mentally.

yes, my project shot is next. this time round, i gotta do some planning and for some people to make travel plans just for this shoot. yeah, it will be fun! ok ok, i found this, this really spooks me out. shutterbugs alike, this one's for you! click!!!!!

after constructing my project wardrobe it's been allot easier and thus, i need something else to do. due to poor health condition these days, i've been putting off the idea of painting my room.

well, after my trip to the bank early in the morning, i decided to stop at the paint shop. i knew which colour i wanted but just needed to educate myself on some paints. the thing is, i can't stand the smell of fresh paint. it makes me sick and i can't afford to fall sick again. so, walla..... i got an odourless paint pint. i also got a roller, paint tray and also some tapes.

well, lets see how it turns out later.

i don't know if i should tennis later. something's telling me that i should do tennis later cause i haven't been playing for a long time. cause i know i can't play this tuesday night. ok, something's really cooking in the kitchen. i'm cooking red snapper fish in white sauce. accompanied with some veg. i also have my baked chicken in the oven ready. and i'm all set ready to feast. the thing is, i don't know if i have the right dvd for viewing later.

had dinner at the HOUSE @ dempsy road last night. it's Katherine's last day at work and also her birthday so decided to take her out. we had an assorted orders and quite a variety from the menu. could have stayed longer but the crowd decided to leave with me to when i told them i decided to call it the day cause i was tired but however found myself at No.5 and watching Katherine down 2 waterfalls back to back! good girl!!!!!!!

three years on, and how time flies. we went out to clubs to listen to music, talked on the phone for hours till the wee hours of the morning about everything and anything, out plans, our dreams and our fears. we shared alot and i knew something else about her. yes, we spend a great time with each other and despite that, her A'levels results were fantastic. the sad part was that, the family didn't have enough to put her through school. yes, i was sad and couldn't do anything. for whatever savings i had at that time, i couldn't even support myself through army.

she was a true fighter and even through her last days, she fought!

sometime last week, i finished my book about rituals and just to tell us in the end it's all about love. don't get me wrong, not that i don't like the book, it's just that it's amazing to find joy in reading again. yes, how much i missed reading and some of the reasons would be busy and that they're only books and i can pick them up whenever i wanted to.

i work in a big office and where i sat beside me is a plant. well, not actually plant but it came in a big pot and it's not something you can move it wherever you feel like moving it cause of the big size. the chinese calls it the iron plant. this plant however don't flower at all. really, according to chinese friends. of lately, alot of ppl have been coming by where i seat. yes, i have a window seat in the office. apparently, the plant flowered and ppl from the office have been flocking to my place looking at the plant. some armed themselves with camera and wanting to take pictures. it was ok for awhile but after that, it kindda got to me.

alot of ppl ask me what did i do to the plant. did i tell stories to the plant or sing to the plan. i said that i didn't do anything. even the big boss comes around and ask me the same thing too. but a senior person in the office came to me and told me that i have brought not only good luck but lottsa love in the office and thats why a miracle like this happens. suddenly, i felt dumb and just smiled. i mean, what can i say. LOVE?

polaroids

if you ever see a polaroid camera, this is your last chance at getting your hands on one. i don't know but i've heard it from somewhere that they have stopped production and call it the quits. i mean, i remembered our first few shots on Polaroids. it wasn't good but it's great for parties in the 70's.

anyways, i did this experiment with mine. i took a very colorful shot and when the print came out, i quickly take a fork to scratch across it. it was very fluid looking and slowly takes form of water print. i took a few more after that but sadly i didn't keep it long enough. it didn't survive one of those spring cleaning some years back.

i don't know, but i thought there's another brand that comes up with a similar technology as the polaroids except it's slightly smaller and prints were smaller too. back when i was partying alot, heineken always have some sort of party and they have all these model girls to take pictures of you. i think those were fuji film cameras.

but, i think the digital technology have change all that. i think everyone has a digital camera in their bags wherever they go these days. i know i have one handy.

it was total chaos when i couldn't do a submission over the internet. be it the standard charted marathon or a purchase on the net, sometimes we shouldn't rely too many things on technology. but then again, it's impossible! really......

it was at the eleventh hour when i decided to submit a application form for my company's international competition. i think it was my fault to cause i was working on my mac at home and didn't realize that it's a windows environment at work. there was panic and i wanted to go fetch the files but then someone said that i should have just e-mailed it from home. so, that's just what i did and big damage for the cab fare plus all the ERP charges, surcharge and whatever charge! but then again, it got through.

had crab for dinner last friday and it was good. we went to the one along outram road off tiong bahru. gosh, it's my loudest burp i ever heard. the chilli crab was good and so was the curry but not the buttered crab. today, i had japanese dinner and good company as we talked about the books that we liked. there were many and i remembered i still have some books to finish and plus, a book from a friend as a gift.

been working hard at the studios and can't really say i have the whole thing worked out, but after many nights and alot of re takes, i've actually done some decent job. yes, there's still some vocals to do and some mastering to do on the tracks but slowly i'll get there. i don't know but i hope there's something for everyone in this album but really, i can't please everyone. i'm doing this for this moment and the what gives me the joy now.

birthdays and movies

not so gothem city singapore celebrates another national day. saw dark knight and understands now why some people i know rave about the movie. it was like during school days going to the movies. it's just that now, we're in our late 30's and early 40's and with family. it's something about turning older but another thing about staying young at heart. we were ourselves and comfortable about it. like still checking out the mac shop at cineleisure and going for drinks @ no 5 after the movies. that we didn't do while we were in secondary school.

the greying worn out tar, the cramped rows of shophouses that was around for almost a century and the relaxed pace of an old sleepy town still draws me back to this place.

let me see, the last time i came here was about 2000. thats like a good 8 yrs ago and i'm glad the place still looks the same except for new shopping centers in town. but i have to say, the light rain that night did not keep many people indoors ignoring the bazaar happening every saturday night. this, i only learned while i was on the coach with a bunch of my friends from the office.

the feeling was somehow very festive and the vendors there were alot kinder than the ones you get here back home. yes, did i say that they were kinder? i think coming from a city like singapore has taken its toll on simple courtesy on it's people. one good example: a small girl was crying in the middle of the bazaar. (lost her mommy and mommy too engrossed shopping and bargaining and shopping) local auntie made small talk to the small girl asking how does mommy or daddy looks like. the small girl kept on crying like a spoilt singapore brat! then suddenly, a loud voice thundered through shouting "where did you go girl?????" "why you talk to this old ladyyy????" oh my god, i thought. the old lady was just trying to comfort your little girl cause you were too caught up with shopping you fucking bitch!!!!!! but ofcourse, i didn't say that. well, thats that!

lottsa stuff to look at and eat. gosh, did i say eat? i never at that much before in my life and plus i remembered, i have not hit the gym for about a week! but then again, you're with a company of friends and having a holiday gettaway, why not!!!!! we ended the night with a massage treatment which was so heaven. ofcourse, the girls didn't like it cause it was painful....

well, i got back to the office and there i sat thinking what a great weekend i had. but the downside of it was the customs at the border. some things never change. tsk tsk tsk.

pack up pack up before you go go

left the office on time and headed ikea to get some organizers. i'm talking about see thru boxes, so that i can see whats the content when it's all packed up. yes, i've been busy packing and unpacking stuffs and re-arranging. gosh, it's really tough. i got home after a hotdog and sprite drink from the cafe at ikea.

got home and headed straight to sorting out my stuffs. i went to the easiest first i thought. which turns out to be the most difficult one. i didn't know, i actually kept all my letters, christmas cards, valentine cards and get well cards. some of them are actually wedding invitation from close friends. why, oh why do i keep them? could it be for sentimental reasons or could it be, if i keep longer that it would change something. i tuned down my dance music which was going on the background and thought to myself. shit, some of the stuffs here are too long to hang on to. but why oh why am i feeling the pain when i wanna get rid of it. finally, i made up my mind that should throw it all away. be it the good ones or even the very good ones.

the past is a strange place and the hardest thing is to let go. bye bye my mails and memories. good bye, i got a train to catch and a dream to follow.

oh wow, didn't thought i'd write in here again. must been ages. anyways, it started quite rough for me for this pass few weeks, but then again i know now how to make it feels better. things are getting better for me and i hope it will get better than better.

been doing some studio work over the months, although i have to say this, i still have not finalized even a song. i've been working on 3 or 4 tracks and changing it over and over again. i don't know if i should put some vocals on it but it's just that i want to make this as danceyyy as possible. you know, something to put on when you're at a party. oh yea, one of the tracks i did is a real spaced and chillout stuff. something ppl can rot to and have a drink at the same time.

well, as much excited i am about my music, i'm also shooting some bands. in fact there's two bands that i'm shooting. Ground Freedom, is four young guys who's still in school studying archi, and yada yada yada. i first met them at recording one late sat night. i mean they sure sound serious enough. i mean it's sat night and when i was at their age, i was prob out having fun! thats what made me wanna shoot them. they were serious at what they do. c'mon they even write their own material and recording it at the same time. this second group i'm shooting is another rock band. i knew them as individuals not as a group. i have to say these guys are very humble at they do and they do some real kick ass stuff. really, i would really like to collaborate with them on some tracks if i can.

it seems that i have woken on the wrong side of the bed or it's just the maid pissing me off!!!! it screwed my whole morning. but things got better cause met up with friends in the morning before the movie. yes, girls, pls don't take your boyfriends to sex and the city. i think it's just abit too much for me. i mean i'm fine with like 45min series, but 3 hrs is like, errrrrrr get me out of here!!!!!! ok, i'm just pulling your leg, maybe it's just over 2 hrs but it feels like 3 hrs! reallly!!!!!!!

but at least my girlfriend kim brought along hubby chiok, so that i wont be the only guy, and smart diana for leaving the big man and the small boy back at the restaurant. this girl who had he voice all over the show, errrrr whats her name? the one supposed to get married who got ditched? carrie??? yea, the wardrobe queen??? well, i have some issues with my wardrobe is not big enough. so, i started this 'project wardrobe' like about a week ago. got the stuffs and tomorrow i'm meeting the contractor for some of the iron runners. my prob is, i dont know how to fold my clothes, so i guess the easiest is to hang all of them and see all my clothes lined up when i get up early in the morning! i know, that sounds so bimbotic!!!!!!! i can't help it, my boss use that word ever so often!!!!!

i can't help it, but to think about the english invasion in the early 80's. yes, it's actually the new wave era and locals here call it the punk era. yes, you have to pardon these guys cause where i come from at that point of time, alot of people were'nt properly exposed to pop culture.

yes, the only dosage of pop culture and columns that's worth reading at that time was chris ho's or smash hits & no 1. these two magz ofcourse not local, is my rule book. it's like pop clause under certain section of the law.

it's easter weekend coming and i'm just here in singapore. couldn't get a ticket in time so i guess i'll be just here. couldn't be so bad rite. got some dinner invitation to go to, some night out with the girls from the office, lunches and some slack time. but it would be a perfect time to go to a rock concert. i have not been to one for quite sometime.

but however, i did attend franz ferdinand's show in singapore some yrs back. that was a good show. really! and i was with my couple friend who just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary.

ok ok, i just discovered that i'm not such a techno geek after all. i still at time to time need some help for my computers and whatever nots. like printer is not talking to my mac, cause mac haven't got cannon drivers!!!!! help!!!!!! i'm sure there's one. like applications for mobile phones. shit, i'm so out of it. there's so many things i do not know now.

finished watching lake house just this afternoon. i like the movie. its such a sunday afternoon movie before heading out of the house buying groceries. shit, what doest that mean? anyways, by the time come on here to blog, i have already forgotten what i wanna rant about. it's so sad, i can't remember things as much as i use to. lots of things write but i just forgot what i had in mind earlier. i'm sure it was something that i was thinking on the way back from parkway parade.

it had to be you, it had to be you....... that was the first thing that strike my mind when i heard harry connick jr was coming to perform here in singapore for the sencond time. i remembered catching him long time ago when he was touring for his funk album SHE. that was a new experience really but not alot of people liked it. i did!

well anyways, last friday's show was fab and wicked!!!! really.... who says straight men can't shake their ass! hahaha.... Lins and Ira sure liked what they saw! the crowd was amazing and awfully loud and very responsive. i got this feeling that most of the audience there that night are not from here. clearly.... and ofcourse, the guy with the whitest angkle!

ok ok, i wont get carried away but the place was freezing cold!!!!!!! really. how i wish it's a little warmer. hahahaha... hint hint. harry did alot of the new stuff from the Nola album. came on encore with, it had to be you. that saved most of the audience that nite!

got my weekend dosage of sports. tennis, football, and gym and to top it all of, some dancing at velvet. all you need is good, comfortable and flashy shoes! hahahahah....

am spending sometime working on some tracks and bouncing off some ideas with some friends. got to put in more time and i love the creative process and the energy for that 3 mins of music.

just last weekend, i had played tennis twice, gone to the gym and plus get to the studio. and yes, the weekend is just to short. all week, i work looking forward for the weekends to do stuffs i want. oh yes, manage to catch tan ngiap heng's pictures too at the arts house. this weekend is his last run there.

speaking of running, i think this machine needs some lubrication and some time out. lately i've been getting pains on the knees and my hips. time to seek some professional help.

got to the studio with the band and they were in the midst of recording. glad i was part of their creative process. i like the energy that they have and most of all the one thing that should have is this thing call 'DESIRE'. yes, desire. ok guys, looking forward for the release!!!!!!

i actually don't know if i have already posted this picture. it's taken in KL MidValley and i like this place. but i have to say, some of the ingredients there is not complete. maybe i'm fussy about my food. but anyways, what's on the plate is duck wrap and beef curry wrap in batter. i have to be honest, i haven't been to that part of KL ever before in my life.

two friends of mine who's from zaha hadid's office gave me a suprise visit. glad to see them and of course they didn't come all the way from the english shores just to see me..... how sad.. but, am so looking forward to this weekend. yes, and there's a pre demolition party!!!!!! cool, i can't wait.

yes, i still haven't got over the fact, someone at the dancefloor infact her friends thinks the same about me too. oh wow, its funny how's life make you wait for the moment and when it finally happens, it's gives you two on and the same wave and leave you dry for how long it takes next.

don't worry if you don't understand what i'm ranting about, it's too embarrasing. i feel good!

was just having conversation with some ppl at work some time back. we realised it's suddenly not packed in cbd area like my office around tanjong pagar. even the place where i use to lunch amara is pretty empty. not that i'm complaining. but we soon realise that singapore's workforce or the ppl who live in singapore are prob not singaporean. not only we're a tiny dot on the map, we don't really have alot of singaporeans to fill in this island. whats filing us in is ppl who are not from here.

anyhow, my family had steamboat. it's because, uncle is here bought a hot pot (steamboat). kids are always the happiest even at the table sitting down. i like their energy like looking for the food they put in the hot pot. ppl like me would just scooped up the cooked stuff and just eat and snap pictures and eat again. i like steamboat!!!!! i think i should invite some friends over. it's such a social thing. you cook, you eat... u laff.... you over eat and you get free facial, how nice. and after that, choosing the pictures to print with the kids.

i picked up my 3rd generation ipod and took a good look at it. it's huge, thick and no colour display unlike my nano which i use regularly for my running sessions. before, i use to pack this ipod to the max to the brim of the capacity. 40 gig worth of music. you know what, it all dissapeared cause the computer that i was using fucked all the songs. i didn't know whether if to cry or just to laugh at it! you guys should have seen the look on my face.

from that day onwards, i didn't wanna get another ipod. the service centre told me that my ipod was screwed and that everything on it is gone! kappooot. as month pass, i got bored and so i got a new one. this time its the nano. it's small, light and best thing of all, you don't even feel it in your pants pocket. it served me well through my run events. the last one was the stand chart singapore marathon.

but today, my 3rd generation ipod that died on me was put back to life. yes, i start putting in songs in it and it works beautifully. i don't mind using it for travelling and on the road. i can store music for all sorts of moods. yes, and playlist! i can put them in playlist too.

so, ok.... today i give my 3rd generation ipod a second life. just like ourselves, we might not hit it off the first time, the second time is surely better than the first. i don't know, you tell me.

in just one day, i witnessed birth of a healthy baby boy tino and death of a good friend's mom. sometimes life twists in it's funny ways or as i always say it, "trust the process". the destiny might be far but it's not impossible or maybe ya, i'm fat but i can always loose weight. this month taught me alot. i got back into reading, picking up my camera and shooting again and believing in myself alot more. it may not sound much to you but where i've been through, it's almost impossible.

was with leena one evening catching up and reminicing the ole times and how far apart we've drifted. i think she got me reading again. it's true leena. 'trust the process' and i love that book! yes, my virgin magarita tastes good but it gives me alot of air! ya, one thing i know that my journey would be a long one but i hope i can take time to do other things around me. i also realised that things around you are also important to life. i remembered what the old king said. i always saw myself as that boy you know. poor me being the sheperd! leena, thanks for telling me about the journey. it came at the right time when i needed it and my friend kim told me that i'm going to do it. i have too.

was on the train and had my music on and played corrine may's beautiful seed. it just went on and on and on while i was reading. i realised something pang, the book has no ending but i do like how beautifully and honestly the writing was. thank you and can i have more pls. i know i have my music in my ears but the ppl around me talked so loudly that i didn't even bother to up the volume. but it's quite irritating when you know what they're talking about. it's not that i can't help it. its just to say that they're loud.

if any of you got a chance to listen to corrine may's beautiful seed, i recommend the song "SCAR". beautiful melody and then listen to the lyrics. i sensed abit of sakamoto in that album. just my funny ear.

i love this place. i have to say, food is fantastic here. yes it's chaotic but it's some how more relaxed especially if you're from singapore. easy peessyyy. and the sound of the streets and shopping centres there are no diffrent except, i got my ipod on and pls. not that i'm anti social, but i bought the cd from KL. the hotel use of computer is free and i found itune in the computer.

when i first saw the plane thats going to take us to boracay from manila, i was almost taken back to this tv show in the late 70's early 80's called Fantasy Island. we were flying that plane! it was a rough ride and some problems in the air. the capt. told us that he couldn't get the wheels to open up and that they had to do it manually. and he actually wanted us to help to turn the lever to get the wheels to land. i think some of us panicked. so, most of us helped out while i just sit by the window to get this shot. and ofcourse, we all landed safely by the way. i wonder, are we taking this flight again to head back to manila?

had a good jap dinner last night and shared a good conversation with an ex collegue of mine. suckling sweet story she told me... gosh, she's on the roll mannnnnn. well it's good to hear that she's good and that i sure hope she's happy! but i do have to say, our suckling sweet ice cream's standard had drop!!!!! sad sad, so sad to know. just told her that i've been eating this ice cream for more than a decade and now they're giving me something else? is this old age or is this really fucked up standard dropping shit from the restaurant.
